Monica Nuñez Albarran is a multifaceted artist from Mexico City whose creative practice spans painting, printmaking, and photography. Although she originally trained in industrial design, her true artistic path emerged through her devotion to visual expression across multiple mediums. She has created more than one hundred works in printmaking, watercolor, acrylic, and especially oil painting, along with an extensive photographic portfolio that complements her broader creative vision.
Her artistic education reflects the diversity of her work. She holds certificates in printmaking and mixed media painting from Central Saint Martins in London and completed studies in black and white photography at Blake College. She also holds a diploma in graphic design and a specialization in stage design, in addition to her undergraduate degree in industrial design. Her fluency in Spanish, English, and Italian allows her to engage with an international audience, and her experience volunteering at the British Museum deepened her love for connecting with viewers.
Nuñez Albarran has participated in exhibitions across Europe, North America, and Latin America. She represented Mexico in the exhibition Emerald Splendor, which included works by Leonora Carrington, and she was selected to represent Mexico at the Art Olympics in New York in 2024.
