RevArt invites artists to submit works for “Roots and Route,” an exhibition exploring the intersection of history and progress. This exhibition will take place in Serendipity Labs, located  in Plano, Texas, a city rich with agricultural heritage and a thriving modern identity. We aim to showcase works that reflect on the origins (roots) that shape communities and the pathways (routes) leading to future growth and transformation.

“Roots and Route” seeks to explore how communities evolve over time, influenced by their history, culture, and the journeys of the people within them. We welcome works that address themes such as:

• The connection between past and present, or heritage and progress

• The physical and metaphorical journeys that shape personal or collective identities

• Reflections on the dynamics between rural beginnings and urban expansion

Requirements

Artists working in 2D mediums that can be hung on the wall are encouraged to apply. We welcome submissions from artists whose work explores community, history, transformation, and movement.

Artists must submit their application through the RevArt system. If you don’t have an account, you can create one for free and complete your application within 14 days.

Your application should include:

• Submit an art portfolio with 5 to 20 works, including past pieces related to new work if the new work is not yet complete.
• An art resume
• Social media or website link
